CARVED DRAGON CASTLE: Making the Box

1 Cut the puzzle pieces. Drill a ⅛" (3mm)-diameter blade-entry hole as indicated on pattern B, and use a scroll saw and #7 reverse-tooth blade to cut along the lines. Cut the puzzle into the individual pieces and set them aside.

2 Carve the rock wall lines. Transfer the pattern details (C) to the front side of the box back piece. Carve V-shaped grooves around the rocks. Do not carve past the puzzle frame alignment line. Round the rock corners down into the grooves. Then, carve away the wood above the castle doors to create the sky background.
